When God Says You're Not Too Late — You're Being Prepared
There's a lie circling that your season has expired — but God is saying something different today.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope."
— Jeremiah 29:11
There's a lie circling that your season has expired. You know the one — it whispers that everyone else got their break while you were looking the other way. That the door God promised has quietly closed. That somehow, somewhere, you missed the window.
I've sat with enough people in quiet rooms to know this lie is one of the enemy's quietest weapons. It doesn't come with trumpets. It comes with a calendar, a comparison, and a silence that feels like confirmation.
But hear this: the Spirit of God does not speak that way. He doesn't operate by our calculations.
In Jeremiah 29:11, the Lord says, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope." That word for "plans" in Hebrew carries the idea of purposeful craftsmanship — every detail accounted for, every thread intentional. There is no oversight in God's blueprint. No gap in His schedule. No expired promise sitting in His vault.
The waiting season you're in right now — the one that feels like nothing is happening — is not empty. It's formation. Romans 8:28 doesn't say God works all things in spite of difficulty; it says He works all things together for good for those who love Him. That includes the delays. That includes the silence. That includes the tears no one noticed.
You are not behind. You are being prepared.
There's something the video unpacks about this that I couldn't fit into text alone — specifically how comparison has weaponized waiting against God's people for generations. If this stirred something in you, sit with the video for a few minutes. Let the words land.
You were never forgotten. And the story isn't over.
A prayer
Father, I confess that I have believed the lie that my time has passed. I have carried silence you see, burdens you name, and fear you already know. Forgive me for trusting my timeline over yours. Today I choose to believe that you are preparing me, not forgetting me. Restore my hope in your schedule. Quiet the voice of comparison and replace it with trust in your perfect craftsmanship. I lay down the weight of feeling behind. In Jesus' name, Amen.
