GOD'S MESSAGE: Your Brokenness Is Making You Stronger Today

What if the very thing that shattered you is actually the tool God is using to rebuild you?

"He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, until they present right offerings to the Lord."

Malachi 3:3

There's a moment in every hard season when the temptation is to run. The fire is too hot. The waiting is too long. And you start to wonder if anyone is even watching.

But here is what the enemy does not want you to see: the fire is not your enemy. The very heat that feels unbearable is doing something invisible to your character that cannot be manufactured any other way. God is not watching from a distance, arms crossed, waiting to see if you will survive. He is right there in the furnace with you, and His Spirit is walking through the flames beside you.

The prophet Malachi uses a striking image. He says God will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver. Not as a destroyer. Not as a critic with a checklist of everything you did wrong. A refiner. Someone whose entire purpose is to remove the impurities so that what remains is more valuable, more useful, more reflective of its true identity.

Notice what the refiner does not do: he does not throw the silver away. He does not abandon the process halfway through. He watches until the dross rises to the surface and he can skim it off. That rising is not a sign of failure. It is a sign that the purification is working.

So when the season feels impossibly long, when you have asked "why" so many times you have lost count, when silence feels like rejection, hear this: the silence is not His absence. The waiting is not rejection. The heat is not punishment. It is preparation. It is God saying that what you have been through is not wasted, and what you are becoming will not be small.

You are not being destroyed. You are being made more useful in His hands.

There's a story I share in today's video about someone who held on through years of waiting and finally saw what they were made for. If this stirred something, sit with the video for five minutes.

A prayer

Lord, I confess that seasons of waiting have made me wonder if You are still speaking. Today I choose to believe that You are at work even when I cannot see it. Refine me. Remove what does not belong in me. Strengthen what remains. I trust Your timing, even when it is harder than I expected. Thank You that what broke me is not the end of my story. Use my broken places for Your glory. In Jesus' name, amen.
