God Says: You Are Not Forgotten — There's Something Bigger Coming
What if the silence you're experiencing isn't abandonment — it's actually God's longest love letter to you?
""Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.""
— Isaiah 49:15-16
The other day, I heard a woman say something that stopped me cold. She said, "I keep showing up to God like a broken record. Same prayers, same silence." If that's you — if you've been pouring your heart out into what feels like an empty room — I want you to hear this: God has not forgotten you.
Not even close.
There's a particular kind of ache that comes from waiting. It's not just the waiting itself — it's the loneliness of it. Watching others receive what you've been praying for. Wondering if your faithfulness is even being noticed. Some days, the silence feels so loud you start to believe the lie that maybe God has moved on to someone more important.
But here's what I want you to sit with today: God sees you. Right now. In this exact moment. Not because you're performing. Not because you've earned it. But simply because you are His.
In Isaiah 49, God says something radical — He compares His love to a mother's love for her infant, then adds, "Can a woman forget her nursing child?" Even in our most human failure of attention, God says, "Even if she could, I will not forget you." This isn't a half-hearted promise. This is God staking His own character on it.
Here's the part that changed how I think about my own waiting seasons: God isn't slow. He's building. When the wait feels endless, it's often because what He's preparing is worth the time. Not a consolation prize — a crown.
You haven't been forgotten. You've been chosen for something that requires a longer runway.
There's an illustration I share in today's video — a story about a man who almost walked away right before his breakthrough. I couldn't fit it all in here, but if this message stirred something in you, sit with the video for five minutes. You might find it's exactly what you needed to hear.
Keep showing up. Keep praying. Keep believing.
The best parts of your story haven't been written yet.
A prayer
Father, I confess that some days the waiting feels unbearable. I thank You that Your silence is never abandonment — it's preparation. Today, I choose to trust Your timing even when I can't see Your hand. Help me rest in the truth that being forgotten is impossible for those who belong to You. Give me patience for this season and hope for what You are building. I trust that something bigger is coming. In Jesus' name, Amen.
