God's Message for You: You Are Not Forgotten
What if the thing you've been waiting to hear from God is closer than you think?
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
— Jeremiah 29:11
Have you ever sat in silence, wondering if God is still speaking? Maybe you've prayed and heard nothing back. Maybe the silence has stretched so long that you've started to doubt anyone is listening at all.
If that sounds familiar, you're in good company. The prophet Jeremiah once wrote to God's people in exile — scattered, discouraged, and far from home. They had every reason to believe they had been forgotten. And yet, through Jeremiah, God spoke a word that cuts through every silence we fear: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Notice the timing of that promise. It wasn't spoken in a throne room surrounded by victory. It was spoken into exile. Into the middle of loss, confusion, and the ache of waiting. God wasn't promising a way out of the struggle — He was promising His presence within it, and a destination worth holding onto.
That word hasn't expired. If you're feeling overlooked, forgotten, or like God has gone quiet, this is the moment to lean in. Not because the feeling will immediately lift, but because the Word of God is living and active, and it reaches exactly where you are today.
There's an image I return to often — the way a lighthouse doesn't stop shining just because the fog rolls in. The light still cuts through. God's promises still hold. His voice still reaches you.
There's a short reflection in today's video about what it means to truly receive a word from God when you're exhausted. If any of this stirred something in you, I'd love for you to sit with it for a few minutes.
"Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way ever lasting."
A prayer
Father, thank You that You are not silent. Thank You that You have not forgotten me, even when I have felt forgotten. Today I receive Your word — not as a wish, but as a promise I can stand on. Help me trust Your timing even when I cannot see Your hand. Draw me closer to You in this season, and use my story for Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.
